  I have been to this establishment several times, but my experience last night compelled me to post a review. I am a Dana Point local resident.
  The restaurant is typically good. Food is good quality and the wait staff IS excellent for meals. I don't think that their promoted "organic and sustainable menu" is actually what it is touted to be...But that is not my issue here.
  We arrived on Sunday night at 7:50 pm, with a guest from out of town. Their hours for Sunday are listed to be open until 10pm, with dinner being served until 9pm. We just wanted to take a few desserts to go from the display case. Seemed pretty simple....
  When we entered the girl behind the counter was chatting with a colleague. She informed us that they were closed. We asked ifwe could just get a few things to go, and she told us that the registers had been shut down already, and they could not ring us up for any purchase. Thought it was strange, being just before 8pm, and inquired about their hours of operation online.
  
  To the owner: I will not return to what a dish, which is a shame. I wanted to spend money at your establishment, and was told I could not, during what are listed as normal hours of operation. I will not trouble myself with this type of misinformation or experience in the future.

  Excellent food and service at this restaurant. I sat at an outside table and had one of their omelets. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
